The
Horse Programme - continued .......
In
this way, horses mirror our internal responses
to an exceptional degree. A human facilitator
or trainer cannot replicate the results
that the horses provide. Human beings operate
on intellect, having forgotten that primal instincts
are our first step to congruent communication.
Horses have no such system, which means that their
responses are instant, direct and honest. With
a horse, what you see is what you get.
Throughout
the programme, delegates take part in a series
of individual and/or group tasks with a horse(s)
A example of a task can be as simple as one person
leading a horse around a selection of obstacles,
or a team trying to get a loose horse to move
to a designated area. We work in a fenced arena
which might typically be 60' X 40', which - when
a horse is working loose - makes a simple task
appear more difficult than it might as first seem.
Note: For team building, I often use an
outdoor arena in the winter, to replicate the
kind of awkward distractions we meet in
the workplace.
Team events can
be half day or full day, and I also provide an
individual programme for selected members of staff
- based on 1.5 hour sessions per week or bi-weekly

Would
your company benefit from: -
-
Staff have increased awareness of limiting
thoughts & behaviours
Leadership and team building skills can
be sabotaged by unproductive or negative
behaviours. By first becoming aware of
these behaviours, and the effect they
have on us and others, we can take productive
steps to improve them.
- Discovery
of unknown key skills in team members
& leaders
Often we are not fully aware of the hidden
skills and abilities that we possess.
Once discovered, we can harness this new
knowledge to make positive improvements.
This naturally leads to enhanced confidence
& self esteem.
- Understanding
of the 'hidden messages' our body
language gives out to others
Whether it is productive or counterproductive,
a high percentage of our behaviour is
instinctual. By providing immediate and
direct feedback, horses show us how we
are 'really' being perceived by others.
This enables us to uncover blind spots,
and take steps to improve upon negative
behaviours.
- Staff
that recognise the efficacy of 100% clear
intention & implement it 100% of the
time
Maintaining
clear focus and clarity of intention is
not always an easy task. Horses do not
respond to 'fuzzy' intentions, and so
the programme exposes the futility of
attempting to achieve a goal without the
driving force of 100% clear intention
There
is a myriad of beneficial learning outcomes
from this programme.
